Some Paintings

This is the start of a painting for a friend. It's supposed to be: "inspiring." We'll see what happens when I finish it. The figures borrow heavily from three statues, the top figure from a fountain in Cincinnati, the two seated figures from outside the most Supreme of Courts. The guy in the middle is just there for dramatic effect.

Every once in a while I just need to draw the meanest looking robot that I can possibly think of. This one borrows heavily from a Japanese mask I saw at the Met in NYC (my favorite museum ever).

What's the difference between this photograph and the painting above? A $125,000 mold change. That's it.

Work Decor

This was inspired by my friend Kaeling.  I saw one of her robots and wanted to copy it.

Business.

All of the above pictures are hanging in my office desk right now.

Mo' Sketchbook

Flying bug, bird thing, listening to music and dropping decorative ornamentation.

A rose, drawn square-like.

My friend Scott, in 20 years. Tassels.

More Random Sketches

This is Cincinnati, viewed from... some park. I can't remember which. But it was kind of tricky to find and the view was nice. Just pretend there is a bunch of color and atmospheric distortion to get the whole effect. To my left was a wedding. I choose not to draw them.

A girl at church, she was actually pretty, but I think this just makes her look mad. I think it's my oversized mouth line.

Some dude. But there is something about the line quality that's working for me.
